The ideology “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” is very popular in today’s society. Everyone is on a search to find their purpose and while on this journey we often get caught up in the hype trying please everyone else; forgetting that the person that matters the most is ourselves! It’s nothing wrong with wanting to outwork those around you. Life is all about balance, so dedicating at least one day out of the week to practice self-care is essential to your mental health and personal growth. Below you will find 3 self-care tips for your to add to your weekly routine that’ll enrich your mind, body and soul.

Turn on some tunes:

Life may sometimes get the best of you, but it's good to take a break from reality and to get lost in music. There's a quote that says "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything else."

For this weeks #RareRecords playlist we curated a collection of chill songs with soulful beats. This playlist is perfect for late nights in the park, long bubble baths, and stormy nights. So grab a bottle of wine, light some candles, and catch the vibe.

Self-love worksheet:

In order to practice self-care, you must think you are worthy of doing so. Create or download a worksheet to use daily or perhaps weekly to help increase the reasons to love yourself and ultimately nourish your mind, body and spirit. There are many worksheets available online for free and even books that can help to lend a hand. Here is a sample worksheet I found online.

 Pamper Yourself:

This might sound completely obvious, but taking a bath definitely works to get you in relaxation mode. In fact, according to a study highlighted in the town and country magazine ,  "Baths give you...a wonderful combination of isolation, quiet, and comfort. “The feelings of closeness we receive from being submerged in warm liquid "gives us connotations of being in the womb, and it is very comforting.  See the video below for more pampering tips that won’t break the bank:
