Black-ish Star Marsai Martin Set to Become Youngest Executive Producer in Hollywood History

Universal Pictures film recently released the official trailer for, “Little’. The comedy follows Jordan Sanders, a powerful tech mogul who is "given" the chance to relive her carefree days as a teen right before a huge career move.

Girls Trip’s Regina Hall and Black-ish's Marsai Martin both star as Jordan — Hall as the ruthless tech mogul version and Martin as the 13-year-old with a smart mouth. Insecure's Issa Rae stars as Jordan's long-suffering assistant April — the only one who knows the big secret and relishes that business opportunity it presents. Little is an irreverent new comedy about the price of success, the power of sisterhood and having a second chance to grow up - and glow up - right.

From the looks of the trailer, it looks like a perfect mix of where Freaky Friday meets The Devil Wears Prada, sprinkled with a little bit of #BlackGirlMagic.

Did we mention that the film is executive-produced AND based on an idea by 14-year-old Martin? Making her the youngest executive producer in Hollywood history.

“It was one of my most favorite films growing up,” Martin told The Root. “After the Season 1 finale of Black-ish, we told Kenya Barris about it, and he called Will [Packer] and said: ‘Yo, you know the girl who plays Diane on Black-ish? She has this dope idea!’”

Directed by Tina Gordon and written by Gordon and Tracy Oliver, Little comes to theaters April 12. Watch the trailer, below:
